The last boss in particular can be extremely unfair. One card in particular always felt like "now we're getting somewhere." - the one that creates an unstable random constant card on every turn :-) Likewise, the one that ("permanently") stomps the mana cost of a random card down to 0 felt like a great investment if I could get it early enough in the battle. Almost all of them provide useful buffs some more than others, but you can deal with it as they show up. I also liked to evolve cheap cards that would give more faith.Īlso, keep in mind that Prayer cards are "instant", so skills that trigger on playing an instant card are seeing a lot of mileage.Īlso, constant cards. ![]() Things like getting a prayer card on every turn also felt extremely important if I got that skill then it would be the first one to buy, and I'd evolve it right away as well. ![]() The Wings (item, 5 trophies) are mandatory for her - it lets her choose the "God's Answer" cards instead of getting one randomly. ![]() I rarely had more than 1 point of Vampirism per round, but usually managed to get a decent hit out as the first attack. She has healing cards anyway, but the Vampirism helps to speed up restoring HP to an extent where Armor is kind of optional. I haven't played it all that much (I did all 5 playthroughs for the paladin and 1 or 2 for the summoner I didn't feel like trying the first char again after failing to kill the last boss with her as she just can't keep up with the damage output).įor the paladin, I went with a combination of trying to build a lot of "Faith" to get those "God's Answer" cards, and, preferably (luck of the draw.) a little bit of Vampirism.
